Wasiu Oloyede, leader of a kidnapping gang, was apprehended by police at Odo Pako area of Ota in Ogun state on Sunday.


Oloyede's gang had kidnapped a soldier in Alagbado, Lagos, on Friday, stealing his uniform, ID card, ATM cards, and phone. The soldier managed to escape.


Oloyede attempted to use the stolen uniform to deceive and overpower a Vigilante member, trying to snatch his dane gun. However, his plan was foiled, and he was arrested.
