Tupac Shakur never had a traditional funeral

 After his passing, his body was cremated. Part of his ashes was scattered at a special location in Los Angeles, while the rest was brought back to his mother’s home in Stone Mountain, Georgia, where she spread them in her garden.

Overwhelmed by grief, his mother did not allow any public memorial.

But what she didn’t expect was that someone would still make the journey  knocking on every single doors, asking strangers, until he finally stood in front of her house. The young man introduced himself only as an old friend, quietly asked to come in, and then stood in silence for hours.

It wasn’t until much later that Afeni Shakur realized that the quiet visitor had been Eminem. She ultimately came to understand the bond between the global rap icon and her son, as well as the heartbreaking meaning behind a silent gesture made on that rainy day  a gesture she hadn’t fully grasped at the time.
