Last week in Port Harcourt, a well-known nightlife influencer named Melvin narrowly escaped death after being brutally attacked in his own home by someone he considered both a friend and business partner.

According to sources, Melvin had asked his associate, Cjay, to bring over a specific item. Cjay arrived at Melvin’s residence as requested, and everything appeared normal—at first. However, Melvin was unaware that Cjay had come with far more than just the item he requested—he had also brought a knife.

As Melvin turned his back, Cjay seized the moment. Like a calculated predator, he pulled out the knife and slashed Melvin's throat in a manner eerily precise—almost as if trained for such an act.

In shock and confusion, Melvin began pleading for his life, crying out for help before eventually passing out due to severe blood loss.

Hearing the commotion, neighbors rushed to the scene and tried to break in. In a desperate attempt to cover his tracks, Cjay staged a scene, pretending he had also been attacked. However, the neighbors quickly noticed that he had no injuries. It didn't take long for them to realize who the true assailant was.

Emergency responders rushed Melvin to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition but is receiving care. Meanwhile, Cjay was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody.
